This pie tastes like cookies and cream ice cream!  We make a home-made Oreo-like cookie which we then transform into a chocolate cookie crumb crust. We then fill it with our chocolate pastry cream, top it with whipped cream, and more chocolate crumbs! It's chocolatey without being heavy and it's rather dreamy like cookies and cream should be!

We'll be baking this pie up until HALLOWEEN! The last day we'll be baking it will be 10/31. Then it is off to Thanksgiving madness :)

INGREDIENTS:

Pastry Cream: half and half, sugar,  egg yolks, cornstarch, bittersweet chocolate, vanilla paste.

Crust: Black cocoa powder, wheat flour, sugar, butter, baking soda, salt, vanilla paste, orange zest.

Whipped Cream: heavy cream and sugar.

Garnish: Chocolate cookie crumbs made from the cookie crust ingredients above.
