Our Neighbor Loaves program was started at the height of the pandemic as a way for us and our customers to continue supporting local farmers, bakery staff, and our larger Salem community.
Customers could opt-in by purchasing a “Neighbor Loaf” under the whole loaves section of our website along with their order. Using locally grown organic grain, neighbor loaves were then baked in house by our team of bakers and delivered to the Salem Pantry to be distributed to our neighbors in need.
Though the pandemic may sometimes seem like a distant memory, food insecurity in our community is unfortunately not. With an increasing number of families and individuals experiencing hunger and/or barriers to accessing healthy, affordable food, we have decided to continue our Neighbor Loaves program to get fresh, wholesome, and locally made bread into the hands of those who need it most.
If you would like to purchase a Neighbor Loaf, simply add it to your cart while placing your online order. Neighbor Loaves can also be purchased in store at either of our retail locations in Salem.
