This is a very rich and moist flourless chocolate cake made dairy and grain free to be in line with Passover dietary restrictions. Please note these items are NOT certified Kosher but rather made without grain and dairy and other ingredients that are not suitable for Passover.
The rich chocolate cake has a layer of house made plum jam in the middle made from local plums sourced over the summer from Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury, MA. The jam is then topped with a layer of chocolate crumble and topped with vanilla icing with a hint of orange blossom. This is a sweet, rich dessert beautifully decorated with piped rosettes, a dusting of cocoa, and a few more chocolate crumbs.
Ingredients:
Cake: Sugar, Eggs, Unsweetened Chocoalte, Water, Cocoa Powder, Salt.
Icing: Palm Oil Shortening (non-hydrogenated), sugar, egg whites, vanilla paste, orange blossom water, salt.
Vanilla Plum Jam: local plums, sugar, vanilla paste, star anise
Chocolate Crunch Topping: Vegan Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips, Coconut Flour, Sugar, Olive oil, Cocoa Powder, Almond Extract (derived from cherries), Salt, Cocoa Powder.
