Cranberry Orange Cornmeal Scone
This is a version of our cream scone with added orange zest and dried cranberries and this scone is also 100% wholegrain. This scone features house milled Wapsie Valley Cornmeal sourced from Seneca Grain and Bean in NY. It also features a house milled White Whole Wheat flour called Frederick that is also grown by Seneca. These two together combine to comprise all the flours in this product making it 100% whole grain. This breakfast treat contains no white refined wheat flour. This scone, as do all our scones, features heavy cream from Riachardson’s Farm in Middleton. The scone is glazed with a confectioner’s sugar orange glaze after baking.
INGREDIENTS: House Milled White Whole Wheat Flour, house milled Cornmeal, butter, sugar, baking powder, salt, heavy cream from Richardson’s, Half and half from Richardson’s, orange zest, and dried cranberries.
Glaze: confectioner’s sugar, orange zest, and orange juice.
